Main Building

Firstly, I followed the concept design that I drew in Element 1 to build the 3d models. And this take me 2 weeks. In the process, I study the way how to build the carvings in the windows. That is, using – a long body, extrude and pull out one of its faces, and repeat the process and you’re done. There is also the process of making bricks and tiles, which is done by extracting half of the faces of a cylinder, then basing the thickness, adjusting the size, and then repeating the process of placing a whole column.

During the winter holidays, I built the main building in addition to the gate, the pavilion and the gallery. They were all within the same file, and after I placed them I realised that the promenade would look better covering the main building, so I thought it was the roof above that didn’t look very good in appearance, so I made painting adjustments in procreate.

Before making the model, I first generated images of the overall atmosphere in midjourney, after which I found some relevant images to use as reference to make it.

Some of the designs in this model were changed from the interior concept drawings I made earlier, such as the wine jar, stool, etc. In the process, I learnt about fabric solving as well as rope making, here are the steps to make it.
